OMG! I am soooooo embarrassed!

Yesterday was my birthday. I was two years old. That was not embarrassing. Here is what was embarrassing:

Can you believe my mom and dad did that to Spud and me? I worked up enough courage to tell my mom what I thought:

Of course, we got lots of attention and lovin' afterwards, and even a little taste of the cupcakes. But it was too late. The deed was done. Spud and I are now plotting revenge.

Here's a better photo that my mom put together. It shows me as a little puppy (only 6 weeks old) and my most recent photo just a few weeks ago. See what a big dog I've grown into. My mom says I'm a pretty girl.

"Dad, you're doing W-H-A-T??????"

Oh no, I didn't hear what I thought I heard. I can't believe it. No, no, it must be a mistake. Or I'm dreaming. Yeah, that's right. It's all a bad dream, and I'll wake up soon.

I would have sworn that I just overheard my mom and dad talking about Dad going to a dock diving event and taking just Spud! And not me! It can't be.

They were calling it something like a Super Retriever Series and that it was in some place called Huntsville, Alabama.

Stay tuned for this one. I've got to do some investigating.

SanDestin was Grrrrrrrrreat!

We had such a blast at the dock diving event in Destin, FL, at the SanDestin Resort. The weather was perfect; the crowds were enthusiastic, and the dogs were great jumpers!

We saw our old friends, Nina and Parker, and Team Lightning from Ft. Myers. We also made some new friends like Abraham and Colby. Nina and Parker's owners, along with Andrew and Ian, brought their UGA Bulldog tailgating stuff. They set it all up right there by our crates. It looked so cool!

But, of course, the biggest and best part of the event was the dock diving!! Spud and I did pretty well. Spud set a new personal best of 21'1", which was fantastic. My little brother is really getting to be quite a jumper.

I did okay. My best jump was only 19'4", which is definitely not as good as I can do, but it was okay.

Both Spud and I qualified for the Senior Division Finals. Spud came in 3rd place and got a really cool plaque. I came in 5th place.

Like always, it was just a ton of fun. My mom took us by herself, because my dad had to work that weekend. So Spud and I had to be really good for her. She said we were. We got lots of treats for being so well-behaved. But the best part was that we got lots of hugs and belly rubs and hearing our mom say she was proud of us!

One more thing about this event. You remember how crazy my mom can be at times? Well, they had this zip line at the resort going across the pond. Yep, you guessed it. My mom, along with Andrew and Ian and our new friend Scott, went on that zip line....60 feet in the air.....across the pond!

Can you believe she did that!! Can you believe that is my mom?(Personally, I think she's at times a little goofy.)

But all-in-all, we had a wonderful weekend and can't wait until the next event!
